New Toolkits for Pro Tools LE
Digidesign has updated both their Toolkits, DV Toolkit and Music Production Toolkit, to version 2. I think some people will be quite happy with them.
For those who still think LE is a drag, Complete Production Toolkit has come to change your mind
It wasn’t that long ago I said in response to people complaining about they didn’t get HD Lite that it’s probably more likely that the future is in more Toolkits. With the Complete Production Toolkit I don’t think we’re that far from what HD Lite (whatever the hell that would be!).
With Complete Production Toolkit you get a whooping 128 audio tracks, 64 instrument track and perhaps almost as exciting - full 7.1 surround mixing capabilities. Get another job if you can’t do a full mix with that. Wow. Basically it’s DV Toolkit 2 and Music Production Toolkit 2 in one, plus these kickass features.
So what’s new in DV Toolkit 2 and Music Production Toolkit 2? MPT2 and DVT2 both now gives you the chance to work with 64 stereo or audio tracks (I’m so glad Digidesign has dropped the voicing deal!). MPT2 now also includes Structure LE and Eleven LE. Not bad. DVT2 includes DINR LE, TL Space and X-Form plug-ins (sorry, can’t remember of the top off my head which was in the first).
Upgrade prices? Free you say? Oops, sorry, it was just me. I have no idea.
